The Amazing Race has just dropped in your city.  UQuest is a combination of obstacles and scavenger hunt missions.  Your team does as much as they can in the given time.  Each obstacle, or Challenge Zone as we call it, is designed like a mini TV show.  Move at your own pace but no matter how fast or slow your team is, there is always more to conquer.

A fun day of fitness that is unforgettable and exciting.  Join the Quest!

Listen to a description of UQuest at the lower left of this page.

UQuest Teams travel at their own pace.  If you like to run, run.  If you like to walk, walk,  If you like to talk, talk.  All challenges are fun to be attempted by anyone.

Our Vision
UQuest is a great opportunity for someone who has never entered an outdoor, themed competition.

UQuest is designed for people who enjoy being active.
"This race isn't for me" does not apply to UQuest!

Oh, you are a runner?  Well have at it.  You've got some ground to cover.

Get on this train!

EACH TEAM IS GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS AND A QUEST CARD WITH THE --FINAL MAP-- THAT SHOWS WHERE THE CHALLENGES, MISSIONS, CLUES ARE LOCATED.  YOUR TEAM DEVELOPS A STRATEGY OF WHAT TO DO FIRST.  EVERYONE IS LAUNCHED AT THE SAME TIME.  ENJOY THE COMPETITION AND THEN RETURN BEFORE THE FINISHING TIME FOR SCORING AND AFTER PARTY.

YOUR TEAM DECIDES HOW TO CONQUER THE QUEST.  RUNNING TEAMS WILL TRY AND GET TO EVERYTHING.  WALKING TEAMS WILL PICK THEIR FAVORITE ACTIVITY.  FUN TEAMS DON'T CARE!

The Arena is what makes UQuest 1 big outdoor party by converting downtown into an urban playground.  Developers creatively use local parks, sidewalks, plazas, businesses, and whatever they can find to provide an urban, intown adventure.  UQuest is not a point A to Z race.  Teams will be going in every direction choosing their next challenge.  The Arena page gives a visual picture of the 4 square miles.  See Arena

What you call adventure, we call UQuest.

Each Obstacle or Challenge Zone is a completely different experience.  Visit the Arena Page for any particular city to review the challenge specifics.  Giant Slingshots, Gym Circuits, Rockwalls, Funky Balance Beams and more.

Challenge/Obstacle Features...
Balancing, Catching, Relays, Climbing, Running, Crawling, Acting, Boot Camp.  We creatively design our own challenges creating an experience that only UQuest can deliver.

UQuest handles the hard core athlete all the way to the beginning athlete.  No challenge would intimidate your grandma (No offense!) but on the other hand if you choose to master the obstacle, you will need concentration, skill, endurance, and the whole ball of wax.  An event that is fun and truly challenges all abilities is what sets UQuest apart from ALL other events.  Just look at our photos, you will find runners, lifters, hipsters, or people just having a good time.

Other Aspects:

Certain challenges will also require you to interact and group with other teams to achieve the goal.

Mental challenges and missions require teams to interpret clues and figure stuff out.

The competition is not designed so you can finish.  U choose what activities to conquer.  Think about the old grocery store prize where you have 120 seconds to put as much junk in your cart as possible.  Welcome to UQuest.

FUN

The anticipation and variety will make this the fastest 3 hours of fitness you will experience. Fancy marketing language aside, UQuest is FUN.

By clicking this FAQ you have given yourself the biggest chance to score big.  UQuest demands that your team stay one step ahead.  Always know what challenge or clue you will conquer next.  There is little time to ponder so make sure your team is United.  No bickering allowed. :)

20 Missions, 12 Challenges, 6 Pictures, 4 Square Miles, 3 Hours, 2 to 4 Person Teams, 1 Winner

There is no recommended training.  A fast walking, clever team can easily rival a disorganized, running team.  U choose.

If this is your first outdoor competition, try building up to walking a 5K.  Walk hills, steps, trails, and sidewalks.  Anyone who "chooses" to be fit can compete.  Get your friend or relative out walking and Join the Quest!  After UQuest, keep walking.

If you are runner, the best way to train is to learn the Arena Map.  If you are intending on flying all around, best to have a plan.

If you have gotten all the way to this FAQ, it's time to register.

Just by attempting a challenge will gain your team points, conquer it with success, even more points.
The team with the most points will win, ok, just kidding, you know that already.  UQuest is not designed for you to complete all the challenges.  Prove us wrong!  Therefore, you will be making decisions constantly.  A combination of the smartest, fastest, luckiest, and most organized team will win.

Let's get real.  If you want to win, you will have to pay close attention to your Quest Card and follow the rules.  There may be mandatory challegnes in order to win that you WON'T CARE FOR.  Think about it, to win we want to keep you off balance a little, not serve your favorite birthday cake.  Those who don't read this will always say "Gee, we didn't like that challenge."  UQuest Development team just smiles, welcome to the Arena.

If you have multiple teams in your group, UQuest is an awesome way to have friendly competition.

What do I win?
Team with the most points wins a cash price.  All particpants receive a beverage, cool t-shirt, food & other giveaways.
How long will I be competing?
2  to 3 hours.
What to wear & what to bring?
Running shoes or cross trainers with exercise clothes.  Each team needs one of the following:  Digital camera, book bag, smartphone, pencil with eraser, pen, water bottle, snack and trash talking.  Maybe more, complete details upon registration.
What happens after UQuest?
Turn in Quest Card, have a beverage(s), enjoy the after party, wait for winners TBA.

After you build your team of 2 to 4, please, 'Tell A Friend.'  Have them tell their friends too.  Like us on Facebook.  Follow us on Twitter.
Spectators are welcome as teams will be competing live in front of the public.  There is no charge for spectators.  You are competing in front of the public over 4 square miles, this is a production!  Have your relative or friend who doesn't want to compete sign up as a volunteer.

Stop waiting, get on this train and Join the Quest!

UQuest assembles an army of photographers and videographers to follow you around the Arena and catch you picking your nose.  We tell them to get in your group, get in your face, and capture your Quest.  By now you should start figuring out, UQuest is a production, you are the contestant.

Choo Choo, all aboard this train, Join the Quest.

Two to four people 18 years or older.

Look for the Minor Registration on the registration page if a teammate is 14 to 17 years old.  A legal guardian will have to complete their registration.  Parent, teenager teams are awesome.

We never say never and we do hire local contractors, performers, and marketers in the host city.

Go to the Contact Us page and tell us what you are thinking.  These requests are more considered at least 30 days before the competition.

In general if you know someone who wants to be a Challenge Coordinator and help execute the event, they would donate their services and sponsor your team for a discount or free registration.

UQuest will also consider other services such as a business participating, individual talent donation, etc.  Your team needs to be sponsored by a business or individual who is donating or contributing to the competition.  Your registration will be refunded the agreed amount 5-7 days after the competition.

Although we love our four legged friends, unfortunately animals cannot participate and must stay at home.

UQuest is rain or shine.

Unfortunately no refunds are given.  Depending on when requested, we may be able to transfer your registration to another participant.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Charity Water.  Each UQuest event has a campaign to raise a certain amount of funds for Charity Water.  One of the UQuest challenges, 'Hydrate the World,' will be carrying the jerry can of water.  Read below to see the significance of the 40lbs yellow jerry can.  Go to campaign page Click here

Here is a complete description:
Charity Water is a non-profit organization bringing clean, safe drinking water to people in developing countries. They use 100% of public donations to directly fund sustainable water solutions in areas of greatest need.

Right now, 800 million people on the planet don’t have access clean and safe drinking water.  That’s one in nine of us.

Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation cause 80% of diseases and kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Children are especially vulnerable, as their bodies aren’t strong enough to fight diarrhea, dysentery and other illnesses.

If you have a large group of 13 people or more contact us for group discounts.  Click on group discounts at the bottom of the page.  UQuest is a great activity for corporate teams to build relationships and have some fun together.  Church teams, greek organizations, civic groups, non-profits groups, etc.
